Any recommendations for an alternative to the HP ProCurve - model #J9449-60001?  I have two of these already and it looks like they're discontinued.  So, I'm looking for a "comparable" or "current model #  ;D

I believe it is. Look that number up on HPs web site. If its Gb Switch then there's no need to update.

I guess I should've been more specific.  I'm looking to add a network switch (keeping my two current HP ProCurve Network Switches) and wanted to get the same model #, but they look to be discontinued.  So I was trying to figure out what was comparable.   ;D

They look to be 1GB network switches (10/100/1000)

Oh so thats it. adding huh? Look under HPs web site for Gb swithces similar to the 8 port ones you have. May have a newer product model

Also D-Links DGS-108 is great too. I got a one and a couple 105s. work just fine with HP switches.

Ha!  Someone once told me "wired" is better "if you can".  Therefore, I need another switch.  HAHAHA

I'll take a look at those D-Link switches.  Thanks Furry!   :)

Amazon has the D-Link DGS-108's for $39.99 - save $54 (57%).   :o
