Cam Only Works With PC turned on
« on: June 02, 2013, 10:14:33 AM »

Hi,

I have a D-Link DCS-930L.
I managed to set it up so I can
- see the live video with my cell phone (via mydlinkLite App)
- configure the 'Smart guard' in the 'main console' software to notify me when a movement occurs.

Everything works fine including the email notification.
But, as soon as I turn of the PC with the DLink software off I no longer get emails when a movement is detected - as if the software on the PC (not the camera) sends the emails.
This cannot be the way it is meant to work. The cam has its own IP address. It should be able to send the notification.

Where can I configure that the camera itself notifies me even when the software ('main console') is not working? Live view even works when the PC is off but 'Smart Guard' does not.

Stefan
