Did you select an NTP server?
Web UI: Management > System Management > NTP Server

I just tested my DNS-345 and the time is retained upon shutdown/Start-up.   :-\
Under what circumstances does the time/date drop? Does it happen 100% of the time?

Did you click on 'save settings' after you had selected the NTP server?

I ask this because we have seen clients that have set up their own equipment and overlooked simple things like that.

I've been spot-checking my DNS-345 after reading your post. No issues with my DNS-345s thus far.
Has anyone else encountered a similar issue as the OP?

No problems here with any of our D-Link NAS boxes.

It might help if pippomostarda gave a little more information like.
1) Is the DNS-345 on 24/7 or does it get switched off?
2) If it gets switched off does it keep time while switched on and only loose it when switched off?
3) Any thing else that might point to a possible cause of the problem.

As a note if point 2 is the case then I would look at the CMOS battery, either needing replacement or refitting.

Please post back and let us know how things turn out.
BTW, how frequently did the clock reset previously?  . . . and to Ivan's point, did the date loss always follow a DNS-345 power-down or power cycle?

I have the same problem but changing the battery has not fixed the issue.  >:( >:( >:(

- Device is rebooted and loses time
- Always on with power scheduling but does not come back on because time is not kept.
