Cameras unstable

I purchased 3 cameras about 18 months ago and they worked properly (all are located in my garage).  In March, I began to have problems with two of the cameras.  #1 stays green the majority of the time, but I can only receive a picture on the website feed about 50% of the time (even though the cameras shows up on my list).  Camera #2 will only work inside the house, near the router.  As soon as I take it to the garage, it goes to red.  Occasionally, it will show up on the website as green, but I can never get a video feed on it.

Camera #3 is consistently working as it should. 

I thought my wifi signal might not be strong enough, so I bought a D-Link range extender and although it seems to be working property, I'm still experiencing the same problems with the cameras.

I should mention that I have consistently re-set the problem cameras back to their factory settings, but it doesn't help.  Again, one of the cameras works fine as long as it's in the house, it's just when I put it outside with the other cameras, that it malfunctions.

If you have a smartphone, download a free app to measure wifi signal strength out in the garage.
(assuming you are connected for probably G signal). 

The dlink cams are a slow G and not N.

Where did you place the extender?

My bad. These cameras do connect N.

I keep forgetting, because they are SOOO SLOW in downloading and responding...

Boy is my face red.  Because the camera is fine in the house, I began to wonder if it was the extension cord.  I plugged the camera, with the cord, into another outlet in the garage and it worked fine.  I then took the camera that's working well and plugged it into the bad camera's outlet and sure enough, it didn't work.  Strange thing about that outlet is that when I plug a nightlight or anything else into it, it works fine.  The camera seems to be the only thing that won't work in it. 

I apologize for taking up your time and do appreciate your attempt to solve a problem that never existed.
