 I have created schedule with blocked access from 1am to 7pm. and another from 9pm to 11:59pm. I have created an access policy using these schedules and the Mac address of laptop. It does block access to internet until the 7pm as desired but does not reblock at the desired 9pm time. Time in router is correct. I would really like to figure this out. Any help would be appreciated.

Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1. Use IE, Opera or FF

• Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual or under Setup/PARENTAL CONTROL/Set to>None: Static IP or Obtain Automatically From ISP.
• Enable Use Unicasting (compatibility for some ISP DHCP Servers) under Setup/Internet/Manual.
• Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking. Link>Finding Faster DNS Addresses using Name Bench
• Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the router. Setup/Networking. This ensures each devices gets its own IP address when turned on and connected, eliminates IP address conflicts and helps in troubleshooting.
• Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.

I have hardware version A1, and firmware 1.04.
Router is already set up as above. [/list]

Was a Factory Reset performed before and after any firmware updates and then set up from scratch?

Ensure the settings are set up correctly in sheduling and Access Control...
Remove the 1am-7pm rule and leave the 9pm rule going, does that rule work as a test?

 Yes.

 It will shut off access to the device with the mac address. Just can't seem to make it so it is denied all the rest of time with exception of 7-9 pm. Maybe some other way of doing it?

Can you set 1 new rule of allowing access during the time frame 7pm-9pm only?
Remove the other rules.



Wondering if something is happening with the schedule due to your ending the block at 7pm techincally the Wireless should come back on then.

I was looking at doing that but there only is options for block all, block some and Log Web Access Only.

Actually this did work. I was sure I had tried that before. I also notice that if power goes out sometimes the router does not update it's time settings as selected from server. Any idea's on this?

Need to find out what kind of ISP modem services you have.

If the NTP server is set up on the 645, it should get time if power is lost and it comes back on.

Yes. I am connected to what is called a "miniWan" which is connected to a wireless (800 MHZ) receiver on roof. I live in bush!

It is like DSL in that it is PPPOE.

It is setup this way and most of the time it does sync time as it should. Just sometimes it does not and I am online browsing so there is no reason it didn't. I can log into router and force it to sync and it does. Just wondered if you have seen this behaviour before or not.

Is the ISP modem handling the PPPoE connection or is the 645 router? If the ISP modem is handling the PPPoE connection there could be some connection problems at some point.
