I have no access to my DSR-500N
« on: September 04, 2013, 05:09:47 AM »

Hello,

I've bought a D-Link DSR-500N router a few days ago. After setup, I started to use and I found that skype and outlook don't work when I use the wifi. After up-to-date firmware problem solved but after a reboot, I no longer have access to the router and the power indicator light is orange when it should normally be green.

Could someone give me some advice before I return it to D-Link? I've already try the procedure for emergency update but it does not work with this model.

There are the information under the sticker:

Model No: DSR-500N
H/W Ver: A1
F/W Ver: 1.04B58_WW

I updated the firmware into 1.06B43_WW and my problem about skype and outlook is solved. Once again I updated the firmware for the last version 1.08B51_WW and after reboot I've no access to the address 192.168.10.1 (the default access).
We use the router in business environment.
We use all ISP in Madagascar (ADSL) and all work fine.

Before sending it to D-Link, I'd like to know if it's possible to have an access to make an emergency update like mentioned here: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=44909.0 (it doesn't work for me)

Thanks

You'll need to return the unit for RMA if you can't access the routers web page after doing a factory reset and it fails to connect or you can't gain access.
