When we watch the video thru our iphone the image is crisp and clear...while the web browser leaves a bit to be desired. but when the image is moved via ftp or email the image is just horrible. is this due to jpg compression, focus or what?I'd assume it's not focus if the iphone app image looks great. any suggestions?
Did you try setting image quality to HIGH in the f/w video section?Maybe make your picture smaller... they can't exactly be viewed in a 21" monitor full screen unless you are truly at 640x480 window size
THere is no HIGH setting under SETUP/VIDEO and I have the latest firmware. If you are referring to Bit Rate for H.264 or Jpeg Quality then yes they are at their highest settings of 3Mbps and Very High, respectively.
You 2nd sentence makes little sense in response to monitor size. Regardless of monitor size or selected resolution the image is going to be blurry still. If the camera is encoding H.264 or MJPEG at 640x480 simply knocking it down to a lower resolution doesn't solve such a need if being viewed in native format.
