I am extremely sorry for not answering this whole time, went through a whole process of changing the router then going back to this one, and getting the latest plan in my city, long story short, same problem, same thing, I would appreciate if you would continue helping me out to solve this.

Modem: Arris TM822
Down speed: 80-120 Mb
Up speed: 10 Mb

speed I'm getting is around 30 Mb, but I wish it was stable, it is constantly fluctuating and I cannot do anything, playing a game, my normal ping is around 89 Mb, I am now spiking up to 5k

And the worst thing is.. my router keeps randomly "resetting" help would be appreciated asap

Any other WiFi routers in the area? Link> Use InSSIDer to find out. How many?

I only have one router running which is the DIR-815, what do you mean by other routers?

Use InSSIDer to find out if you have neighboring WiFi routers that can cause interferences. How many?

You do have some WiFi congestion there, many neighbors around you on 2.4Ghz.
Managing Signal Congestion

Any chance you can test 5Ghz radio? Do you have any 5Ghz supporting devices?

Idk if I can test the 5GHz band, do you need any devices that support it to use test it? If so then no I can't, I don't have any devices that support it. That's why I currently have it turned off from the router settings

You may need to get into some 5Ghz support on those devices that can be converted over. PCs, Laptops and devices that have wired LAN ports can be upgraded to use 5Ghz by installing a 5Ghz bridge and connecting the devices to the bridge via LAN able as a suggestion.
DAP-1525, 1533 and DIR-868L and 865L can be used as 5Ghz bridges.

Also,
  • Try setting Medium or Low power output settings and test again Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.
Might help make the WiFi broadcast foot print smaller and less susceptible to other WiFi interferences.

I have no clue how to setup a 5ghz wireless bridge to be honest, is this really needed? I mean the problem is all with the 2.4ghz, and I can't take this for much longer! I'm getting speeds as low as 10 and 6, it is fluctuating a ton! I really need a solution for this

The problem is, is that you have some interferences on 2.4Ghz. I believe this is the source of the problems

You can try setting a manual channel of 8 on 2.4Ghz and see if this helps any...

If not, I would recommend switching to 5Ghz as there isn't anyone around you, at least on the InSSIDer results that you posted, using 5Ghz.

Also wireless speed testing on WiFi is not really recommended, wired is preferred, as wireless has too many variables that can cause inaccurate results...

I don't really want to use the 5Ghz band and would prefer the 2.4Ghz over it. So there's no way that this could be solved? Not even by getting a new router? Maybe an AC router?
