Ran some simple testing last nite on this build with the 5500 down the hall way opposite from where my test client was. 28-30ft distance. I started with my Windows 7x64 PC with a DWA-180 connected on 5Ghz AC Mixed mode/WPA2 and AES only. All other settings default. Connection was being reported on Windows at 292Mbps. During actual file xfers the connection dropped to 195Mbps. Intermittently dropping to 130Mbps here and there. This was testing WRITE to the file server I had Gb Lan wired to the 5500. READ tests was stable at 292Mbps. Saw avg low to mid 20's on Mb while WRITE testing to file server. Saw avg mid to high 20's on Mb while READ testing from file server. All xfer testing was using a 800Mb and 4Gb sample files. All xfers were very smooth and completed with out issues.
I disabled the DWA adapter on the PC and LAN connected the Windows 7x64 PC to a DIR-865L v1.05 in bridge mode connected to the 5Ghz radio on the 5500. Saw mid to high 30's on Mb while WRITE testing to the file server. Saw avg mid to high 20's on Mb while READ testing from file server. Could not check WiFi connection speed between the DIR-865L and DGL-5500 as there isn't any Wifi status.
We hope D-Link will consider adding this feature if they can to the 5500. Would be nice to see what clients are connected and at what speeds. I didn't get a chance to test 2.4Ghz yet. Will try to at some point.
Initial load and testing of the new FW build resulted in seeing much better speed testing improvements on SB and ABE in the set up wizard. ISP Speed results are where they should be and are working better for XBL gaming. There is still some performance issues if SB and ABE is left on it's own after completing the speed test. I still recommend using 100.00 and 10.00 as a manual setting for now. The UI is still a bit slow when navigating between features in the UI. Not sure if this can be helped at this time. They fixed the DWA-180 adapter, Media Server and Network sharing issue I found. I was able to see my 250Gb NTFS USB drive connected to the 5500 and stream a movie using Windows Media Player yesterday and played music from it as well. Also saw the rest of my networked shared devices.

My next test project will be to hammer the 5500 and multiple xbox gaming with 4 or more xboxes all online at the same time.
Overall, this build is the best so far and seems to be working well and WiFi seems much better.
