View files on a MacBook Pro
« on: November 13, 2013, 12:46:38 PM »

I have a Macbook Pro running Mavericks.

I used my DNS 320 without issues on my Windows PC for over a year.

How do I set it up as a network drive on my mac?

It's IP address was 192.168.0.103 and to map it in windows i just typed in Map Network drive \\192.168.0.103 and it worked.

Anyone got any ideas? Not planning on doing anything fancy just accessing my files.

Thanks!

That connect string is Windows feature. On a Mac:
In Finder open Go > Connect to Server... (or press Cmd+K)
then type into that box either

smb://yourNASname.local/ or smb://your.nas.ip.addr/

or, better yet, if you enabled AFP server under DNS-320's Application Management, you can use

afp://yourNASname.local/ (or IP if you prefer)

in your connect string.
