New 320L and new WD40EZRX-00SPEB0
« on: December 17, 2013, 12:44:05 PM »

Hi,

is 320L supporting this Hard Disk?

I've ordered both of them but I can't find how to configure the NAS with the Hard Disk because the button Set RAIDType and Re-format is greyed out. I've tried the scan disk and it passed so i think it's a formatting problem.

I've attached it to my computer and I've converted it to MBR with 2 partition, one NTFS and the other one unused. Is this a problem? Should i format in EXt4/5?

How can I fix that? I'm on a new 1.03 firmware revision A3

You can only format the drive through the NAS, if you want it to work. My guess is that you did not push the drive thoroughly down the slot, so that it's properly connected.

Do you hear the drive spinning when starting the NAS, and do you see the blue LED-light on the front which indicate that the hard drive is connected?
