Does the wireless still disappear?

How far away is the devices from the router?
Where is the router placed? Centrally in the building or at one end? Centrally in the building on the main floor is preferred.

Please try the following:

• 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz routers: Try single mode G or N or mixed G and N on 2.4Ghz and single mode N on 5Ghz?
• Channel Width set for Auto 20/40Mhz.
• Try setting a manual Channel to a open or unused channel. 1, 6 or 11. 11 for single mode N if the channel is clear.
• What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only.

the devices are not that far, 2 tables apart, yes it randomly disappears. 

the router is in the apartment so same floor, in the living room far from any other electronics, central location

we use the 2.4Ghz (we cant find the 5Ghz but maybe thats because of our network adapters)

Wireless Band :     2.4GHz Band

Wireless Network Name : Kobeissi Residence    (Also called the SSID)
802.11 Mode :       mixed N and G
Enable Auto Channel Scan :     enabled
Wireless Channel: automatically set

Keeping same settings, change the channel to 4 then test 8...

I think your problem on 2.4Ghz is that you have near by neighboring WiFi interferences...

i can change the channel, but my question is, how will i know if its fixed or not?

 i mean it happens randomly i cant recreate it

You'll need to test it out for a while and see...
Also try this as well:

• Try setting Medium or Low power output settings and test again Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.

I belive the problem is that your neighbor (dlink) is also on channel 11 and maybe the cause of your experiences. I hope that changing to channel 4 or maybe 1 will help...

i placed it on the N and G mixed

changed the channel from auto to channel 4

ok well it seemed to be working fine, but i had to change it back to channel 11 since my dad's laptop was unable to connect to the router

Is channel 11 a open channel. I would go back to the prior channel then re-test your fathers LT.

The LT should connect on any channel. Ensure the WiFi drivers are up to date on the LT. Remove the WiFi preset profile on the LT and then install a new profile.

I think your wireless issues have been solved though by changing to a channel that's not being used. When you think all is good, you could re-install the DAP and test again.
