Hi,
Is there a way to use the ISO Mounting feature as a Network ISO to boot at ?
If so, what are the orther features linked to the ISO Mounting Option ?

Which firmware update did this ISO mounting arrive in?  It does not appear in any of our standard DNS-320.  Or is it something with the DNS-320L in which case you are in the wrong place.

I'm on DNS-320 Rev.B1, FW : 1.00b03 (around 07/2013), the ISO mounting Option is set at "Network & Sharing".

ISO support was added to hardware revision Rev "A" back in firmware version 2.00:

Darn it JavaLawyer, now I will have to get one of my guys to update a box and test this [don't tell the clients or they will want it even if they won't use it]. 

I assume it is something like our ISOFS which allows mounting an ISO file as if it were a standard disk - very handy for copying single files over the network on machines without CD/DVD drives [most industrial control computers].

I can't speak to specific differences, but can say that D-Link typically creates new hardware revisions to make minor (under the hood) changes or improvements to the original hardware design. Based what I've observed in the D-Link router family and legacy ShareCenters, some examples of changes that would merit a new hardware revision may include things like a smaller power supply or slightly different component specifications (e.g. swapping out capacitor "A" for capacitor "B"), etc. Depending on the nature of the change, a different firmware development line is sometimes required. For example, the DCS-932L hardware revision "A1" and "A2" both use the same firmware family, while the DIR-615 has hardware revisions A, B, C, E, and I, all with separate firmware. From the perspective of the end user, there shouldn't much (if any) difference between revisions -- so long as D-Link keeps the different firmware development efforts synchronized for each release.

You may want to visit the D-Link Taiwan Download site and read the DNS-320 manual for one of the later firmware releases. There you will find ~5 pages or so dedicated to walking through the ISO setup Wizard.
