So my NVR-202L playback is not working.
After some hours trying to fix it with very usefull posts and getting close to torching the damn thing...

Here is my fix using IE11:
1- Add the url, usually 192.169.etc... (with http: and https: just in case) to the exceptions list under "Security" tab inside Java Control Panel
2- Add the url to the exceptions list inside the pop-up blocker or disable it altogether. To do this right click on the gear icon on the upper right corner, make command bar visible. Once it is visible, click on tools tab, pop-up blocker.
3- On the same command bar, click on page (or Pagina since mine is in Spanish...), compatibility mode config (or something similar), add your url again (192.168.etc...). Be sure to click ok on every step.

As you can see, there seems to be three separate problems, first the Java extreme security meassures.  Second, in playback, there is a pop-up window that lets you choose the date and time to playback. And third... it just seems it is not compatible with IE11. Thankfully there are ways to counter all these.  ;D

Hope this helped.
I'm happy now and everything works fine.

Mods, this should be under "Playback" but there seems to be different topics in this post. Feel free to move it somewhere else if needed.
