DIR 655 and W8.1 compatiblity.
« on: February 09, 2014, 01:10:14 PM »

Hello, I am new to this forum in search for some guidance. I had a DIR655 for a few years now and always worked great. Last December finally moved to W8 and then updated to W8.1. Since them it drops the internet very very often and it is impossible to work. Do I have to buy a specific wireless router for W8.1? I searched this forum and downloaded and SX application that I run on the main PC wired to the router and in the laptop that is wireless connected. In both case is asking to physically connect the router that is connected already!!
Any new driver I need to download? Any instruction regarding this problem will be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Luis.

There is a new Shareport version that supports Windows 8 now...

Are you having problems with SP or with wireless or wired connections to the router? If you are having non Shareport problems, I recommend posting in the DIR-655 forum and lets see what we can do to help you out.

We've seen some issues with Windows 8 and seems to be the root cause.
