not able to install Joomla

Hi all,
I'm not able to install Joomla. The error message raised is:

Could not connect to the database. Connector returned number: Unable to connect to the Database: Could not connect to MySQL.

probably because the db has not been created at all.

How can I fix it?

The volume name is volume_1, could be this the problem?
