possible...again I wouldn't play games or do heavy streaming with them...there would be some performance issues

left work early, I checked comcasts setup. they have one coax coming into the house, then into a signal booster, then it comes out of the booster into a bunch of splitters. should I call Comcast and have them do something? I am not sure what they would do.

Never Mind I did A double check and their is a coax dedicated to the modem., but I still cant tell the weight of the cable, its not on it.

Also I would like to let you know that the router is sitting on top of a old metal computer tower, with a tv 2 feet away to the right, mind the whole house is to the right of the router, the front door is to the left.

I keep telling my father he needs to move the mode and router but its a losing battle.

Ive been doing speed tests wired and wireless since I got home, ane my wired tests are always great anywhere from 97-115. but wireless is still sporadic anywhere from 15mbs-60mbs

I guess the connection just needed a day to settle in. because as said, the wired connection is usually always in the ballpark.

I streamed for awhile, and no issues wired, went wireless and not even 10 minutes in I started dropping frames and losing connection, I went back to wired, and everything was great again. speed tests are usually always spot on(Wired) 99-107mbs down, an always 11 up.

so I made al my consoles ire, except my wii, nd wii u because ...what do they really nee high speeds for? lol

So I presume the Wifi issue is fixed since the distance it probably too far.

Hows the Xbox NAT status?

yes, Sorry I have been overwhelmed with work. I have gotten my NAT open on both the D-Link and Cisco, even with my GF using her 360. I'm not sure if her NAT is open or not, I don't check because it doesn't hinder her, he just watches Netflix. She doesn't do much online gaming.

I a currently using the cisco, because it still kicks the computers offline and I am determined to figure out the issue. I am persistent, and it will bother me until I figure it out. its only cisco "SMART" Router that do I, the old ones work fine.

With the switch run in my room a everything running with LAN I am getting speeds up to 118mbs Down, 11Up

FYI, Just in from D-Link, there is still issues with XBL1 and behaviors of this router and MS is currently working on this with D-Link. Any issues with XB1 or XBL needs to be taken up with MS. The ball is in there court at this time.

I think the Xbox One uses some kind of ARP command to check to see if a IP it wants to use is in use. And if it doesn't get a response, it uses the same IP it was using before. However if devices are using that IP and just not responding, that might explain the conflict. And thats also why a full reset usually works.

Any update on this?  It's been quite some time I may have to switch routers until this thing is sorted.

Are you using the latest fw?
I'm personally not because of the bugs but I wonder if the strict Nat issue was fixed.
I have a 360 and a One what's odd is both will be open until I turn one off. Normally the Xbox One will go strict after.
You can go into the Xbox One network settings and clear alternate Mac and your Nat will return to open.
In the case of getting another router I would hold off looking at the Xbox website and Reddit lots of routers are having this issue with the Xbox One.
Although I have herd a few routers don't and work fine.

If this hasn't been fixed hopefully dlink locks it down this is a "gaming router" seems that they would know two consoles could be in the same household.

Anything yet Furry beta or anything or are they still quiet?

Edit: Just thought of this. Can you go completely static on one Xbox. By setting one Xbox outside the dhcp range. You know a true static IP.
I can't try this until next week when I get my new Ethernet cable.
Can you try this please and let me know?!
I think it should work!

I am using the latest FW now but have had this prob with other fw's as well.  Pretty much tried every single thing I can think of.  NAT on the xb1 goes strict after turning it off unless you put it in power saving mode, using instant on is the problem they need to fix.  I will try putting both of my xb1's outside of dhcp range and see what happens.
