Advanced DNS observation
« on: June 13, 2009, 09:49:08 AM »

As I sit here reading the boards and paying my bills, I tried to go to my Electricity provider's web site to pay my bill and, apparently, their domain(?) is not listed in the servers used for advanced DNS. After several unsuccessful attempts I decided to uncheck Advanced DNS and that solved the problem. I'll probably turn it back on after I'm through donating my gallon of blood for the priviledge of running my air conditioner. Is there a way to force registration of a domain to a DNS? By the way, this was a "first".

Edit: Spoke too soon. I managed to get to the parent site but the account services site is being a pain in buttocks. When I enter the address I get the "You are about to view pages over a secure blah blah blah" and I hit OK to continue and then I get the web page that tells me that it can't find the address I'm looking for. I never liked their web pages anyway. Maybe I'll just stop paying my bill. That'll teach 'em.
Any ideas? Is this even remotely related to my router? I know, write them a stern letter. I'll do that now.

Never mind. Delete this thread. My energy provider's web site is flakey - AT BEST. A simple Google search provided me the answer I was looking for.  ::)
