Hope someone can clarify.

I am trying to restore my original DIR-615 rev. E5 firmware through the emergency room. What I need to know is what browser brands and versions are supported by d-link's emergency room.

I am trying to flash the router with Google Chrome (latest version). Firmware apparently is correctly uploaded but the flashing process never ends and the router never boots to the new flashed firmware version. I already waited for 10 minutes after uploading the new firmware and nothing happens.

When pulling out the power cord the router boots ok but the original firmware I am uploading is not installed. I am stuck with the old one...

I think it is a browser version/brand issue and hence my question.

Hi, I read all the documentation you kindly linked in your previous posts and the only thing I could gather that is somewhat related to my post is that FireFox should be used when upgrading/changing firmware from the emergency room, correct?

I am aware of the firmware upgrade/change process and all the do's and dont's. My issue is that I have a DIR-615 running DD-WRT and I want to revert back to the original D-Link firmware for some time for testing purposes. There is nothing wrong with my router and it runs DD-WRT fine (as it ran the original D-Link firmware fine in the past), however I want to test a new setup for a new network I am building and I want to do that using the original D-Link firmware.

As I reported in my initial post I cannot flash the original firmware from the emergency room using Google Chrome. Question (again) is: what are the browsers and versions supported for flashing the DIR-615 original firmware from the emergency room?

All information is in the links provided. If your attempting to load OEM FW back on from DD-WRT, I recommend that you refer to the DD-WRT site for help and information on how to reload OEM FW from using DD-WRT. We recommend using IE or FF with all add-ons disabled.

Thank you. Just for the record DD-WRT recommends flashing from the emergency room to get the original D-Link firmware back.

I'll try flashing with IE and report back what happens. Regards.

Uploading the stock firmware seems to work fine (percentage in the browser reaches 100%), however the router is taking too long to reboot by itself. How long on average does it take to complete this process through the emergency room? More than an hour?

It should not take more that a minute or two to upload the FW file and the router should reboot or you may need to power cycle it after it reaches 100%. Not before.
