5010 continually clicking

i have a new 5010 running fw 1.03 that exhibits clicking....it's changing modes.
research indicates some 5020 owners are experiencing the same failures.
my clicking.....mechanical ir filter moving in and out of focal plane.....only happens when:
1. operate in day mode 'always' and
2. there's no ambient light, ie it's dark outside/inside....night time.

sure does sound like a fw issue.
does anyone know what the 'Adjust sensor settings for sometimes video flash issue' and 'sometimes incorrect ICR control'  bug fixes were all about on fw 1.03b8?
