Having issues with w306 setup
« on: August 06, 2014, 01:23:14 AM »

Just looking for a helping hand figuring this router out.

It's never really given me any major issues that a simple off and on hasn't been able to fix up until now.
I've been away on holidays for a month so it's been turned off at the mains while I was away, now that I have returned I havnt been able to get a steady connection since..
I've noticed the router will run intermittently even when all lights are green but my major issue is whenever I connect my PS3 to it.
It connects perfectly but once I actually start using the online services my home light on the W306AV unit turns orange (?) (I'm not sure if it's supposed to be red) and the blue WPS/ENY light will flash and then I'll lose connection all together from the access point.
It's really starting to bug me now so any help will be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Aidan

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?
  • Has a Factory Reset been performed?

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
  • What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
  • What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?

Can you test the DHP in the same room as the host to see if the problem follows. Any interferences on the power line can cause problems for the DHP units.
