Hello, I update my DIR-845L with this firmware, DIR-845L_fw_revA1_1-02b05_all_en_20130909,  taken on D-Link french website.
And it makes troubleshooting with my router.
Now the router starts (I see it in the connexions list Ethernet and Wireless) but the web interface is... empty (only the logo and firmware version are display) !
I take the method done in this forum to get back to previous firmware. It done well (come back to DIR_845L_A1_FW101b01) but the troubleshooting still present : no web interface.
Some one has un idea to get back my router web interface ?

[EDIT 3] on Ethernet Network, the SSID get the personnal name but on Wireless Network the SSID get back the factory  name.

[EDIT 2] Update was made with
- RJ45 cable, not by wireless,
- Firefox 32.0 (all Moduls disconnected)
- Windows 8.1 Pro
- Windows Firewall disconnected

No reset factory before update (and that was the fist time to update)
Just try one after with no result.

Yes ! It was working well before update.
It seems working : the 2 front leds are fix green.
But there is no active connection : windows says "limited connexion" and the web interface do not display anything except the background page with the header (Product Page : DIR-845L /Hardware N°A1 and Firmware N°1.02 / logo DLink)

When the web page comes, the adress changes quickly like that :
http://192.168.0.1 + "enter"
http://192.168.0.1/smart404/index.php (few milliseconds)
http://192.168.0.1/index.php

I recommend that you download the file again from your regional web site and use the following to reload the FW .bin file:

Use IE or FF and disable any browser add-ons and PC security SW temporarily while doing this.

It was done.
I came back to the previous Firmware, but it's making no change with the web interface.
[EDIT] sorry but i cameback to previous with Emergency Flashing method (i have no interface to do it in classic method)

I do that.
Used Firefox after disabled all extensions & plugins, disabled Windows Firewall and it was done with RJ45 cable.

Do u think i must try it another time ?

[EDIT] when the router is connected to the PC, and i use the network (Ethernet or wireless) provide by him then FF starts automaticaly with the web page of the router : i cannot go to the web.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

I try to reload (last chance !?) an old firmware (DIR845LA1_FW101b01) and.... it works like the first day !
Wonderful !!!
I really do not understood why it doesn't work with newer firmware provides by D-Link...
Mystery of computers.
I have no time to try again update with the lastest FW, but when i would do it i will come back to post results.

Last question :
The DIR-845L web interface is in English, and Dlink said to me that it is not available in french .
Where can i find the language english file for translating it in french (try to do it if i can).

Did you use the auto update to update the FW? If so, please use this to do any future updates:

There is no language file for this model router.

Does the web page log in using a web broswer have a language drop down menu on this page? If not then this model router is only in English.

No, update failed to load the file :
TOOLS / FIRMWARE / Firmware Information : "No response. Please make sure you are connected properly to the internet.."
So i took the file on Dlink website.

There is no language file for this model router.

Right ! Dlink said that there is no french translation available.... !

Yes there is a language drop down menu :
TOOLS / FIRMWARE / Language Pack Upgrade / Upload

"The language pack allows you to change the language of the user interface on the router. We suggest that you upgrade your current language pack if you upgrade the firmware. This ensures that any changes in the firmware are displayed correctly.
To upgrade the language pack, locate the upgrade file on the local hard drive with the Browse button. Once you have found the file to be used, click the Upload button to start the language pack upgrade."

... but Dlink do not provide the french language !

So i'm looking for the english language pack for translate it in french

[EDIT] There's a post on this forum (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=54255.0) when you said, last year, that there is firmware update with german language pack : the zip file contains a .lng file.
So, such file exists, no ?
(And Dlink German webite provides more files than Dlink french website....)
And there is also the v4.30 of Share Port Plus, not available on french website....

Each region handles there own sites differently. You can use other EU region site for information and files.
