Hi,

My DNS is connected to my wireless network via a bridge (edimax n300 universal wifi bridge). I can access files on the DNS fine and stream to other PC's from the  DNS fine although I have had problems with large files (films over >8gb) stuttering.

Everything on my network is wireless and my router is an Virgin Media Superhub2.

When I try to copy files onto the NAS I'm only getting ~60kb/s so its taking ages to transfer anything. Whilst I'm trying to copy files to the DNs Its very slow to connect and navigate the DNS from Windows. Are there any settings I should be playing with? My bridge is on the same wifi channel as my router (I believe this is a requirement for the bridge) would this create any issues?

Try temporarily removing the bridge to rule out this component as the  potential causes. You may also consider connecting all of your devices to the bridge (if that's possible) and temporarily remove the router to further isolate the root cause. In short, simplifying your network configuration for root cause analysis will help determine what's really going on. Testing wireless throughput with another PC (other than the one you've been using) can be used to determine if the PC NIC card is causing the issue.
