Run thru the User Manual to see if there is any USB drive set up information there. There maybe...

Keep us posted.

Ok an update, managed to connect to the NAS using iscsi and no issues there. Ended up running the wizard from the cd again and wiping the drives and setting them up as two independant drives. This is the only time its ever asked me to assign a drive letter which i did and can now connect all the time to the NAS through windows. Need to pluck up the courage to try the Mac again! Only issue i have is when transferring from USB to the NAS its really slow somewhere between 5-10mbs and the same over the network so need to sort that out

Use SMB:\\ to connect to the drives from Mac.

I highly recommend installing a external Gb network switch between the main host router and NAS/PCs. This will help eliminate any un-necessary router processing that may impact performances.
Look at a D-Link DGS-105 or 108 as a suggestion.

Hi

Thanks for all your help over the last day or so, i really appreciate it! Ive ordered the D-Link DGS-105 and some cat6e cables. I think ive got a power supply kicking about as it looks like it doesnt come with one so hopefully that will speed things up a bit.

Cheers

Got the switch and the the cables, transferring wirelessly is running at 21mbs which seems ok? Will try the usb drive plugged into the NAS and see what that runs at now the switch is attached.
