Password protection very bad!
« on: February 06, 2015, 05:19:24 AM »

Today I noticed the 932L camera can be viewed with any third party app, no matter what password you enter. Only for audio the correct password is needed. Very said....

I've seen third-party apps that require the login credentials separately entered for the video and audio feeds. The following could cause this issue:

  • Audio Feed:  username=admin; password=***********
  • Video Feed:  username=guest (user account created in the DCS-932L FW web UI); password = blank (user account created with no pw)

If that is the case, The OP should delete the guest account or change the guest password and retest.

Agreed.  That's the only scenario I can think of that would cause the video feed to be accessible w/out a password, while the audio is password restricted.

Hello all,

Thanks for your reactions. There is no guest account, just de default admin account.
I've tried everything, but it seems that only audio is verified by the given credentials.
I can even use each username I, video is not user/password protected, only audio.
