Why does it say MDT even when you have CDT or EDT selected?

I presume due it being my actual zone location...

I did some troubleshooting with my router and am now more confused than before.  I hooked up the router to my modem and hooked only one computer into the router and now the daylight saving time works.  I have a very complex network here with many computers, switches, and two more routers acting as access points so something on the network must be causing a problem with the time in the router.  I need to narrow it down more.

 I still don't see how you get that MDT suffix to the time display.  I don't get that on my router.

Check the other routers. IF they are servicing any time services, could be introducing problems.
