ext HDD with HFS+ format ?

I just bought DNS 320L, this is the first NAS, and I'm newbie for this stuff
Before I bought DNS, I asked the seller, whether this support mac os x or not, and he confirmed, and I myself read some writing on the box as well

after installing, I tried to copy files from my HFS+ format ext hdd through DNS' usb port, I opened the webserver and go to the local backup option, but when I tried to select the source file, my ext hdd can't be read (empty). I did some reading, and find out that HFS+ file system was no included on the suuported format. How come it support mac os x, but not supported HFS+ file system ?

Any work around to enable this option please ?

Do you have a spare drive you can format with NTFS and connect this drive and see if it works? NTFS is the main format supported for both OSX and Windows.

It only support read for NTFS system format

File system:
EXT3 for internal HDD
FAT32, NFTS (read only) for USB external storage

Ok, I presume that any drive connected to the USB port on the DNS will be READ only.  :-\

Is read only allowed us to copy file from ext hdd to the DNS ?

I don't have other ext hdd  to test -___-

Can you copy a file from the external USB drive to the DNS drive?
