Zero byte Images
« on: June 21, 2015, 06:50:44 PM »

We have setup two cams(both DCS-942L) in one of our locations. After setting up both the cams to post the snapshots to the FTP, although the functionality worked, but we are receiving zero byte images.
I don't feel there is any issue with the firewall, as Passive mode is being used.
Also, the Camera logs or the FTP logs aren't really helpful. I could see images being ftped but all of them have the size zero.

Any help or guidance on this issue, would be really appreciated.

Thanks

Initially tried every possible thing to make this thing work, but it didn't.
But thanks to WebcamXP I was able to get the snapshots FTPed. The settings which were done on the web application provided by D-Link were the same ones used on this software and it worked in one go.  :)

Although I am happy to get this thing over with, but was really disappointed by the poor quality of application provided with the webcam and also the support which we got for it. Anyways, that story is for another day.

Thanks

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
