Hi All,

I saw this on DLINK Website >> This ShareCenter storage device has a storage capacity of up to 4TB (greater capacities supported with future firmware release) <<<< How much storage capacity  I can insert on a DNS 320L ? Given that i update the firmware ?

Hello,

Bought a D-Link ShareCenter DNS-320L last week. It worked normally until today when I installed the latest firmware from here: http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DNS-320L
As it says there, the last version is 1.06.B03.

The installation was done successfully but next time when I tried to access my NAS it didn't let me. In the browser (Windows 10, Chrome), for instance, I pass the login screen, but then nothing, it says "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED".
I see it connected to my network but it keeps asking for user and password and regardless of what credentials I put there, I cannot login.

I see it when I run the installation app but now it gets stuck when I click Next after setting the password.
The blue led is working normally.
Tried Hard Reset, but with no result.

What should I do to make it work?

LATER EDIT: When I access the NAS from my phone, I pass the login screen, I can enter the interface, but all I got is the 3 buttons (Home, Applications, Management) with no functionality on neither of them. And then I can't do anything, can't access the data or the settings.

Thanks in advance!

PC Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? I
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.

Thanks for the reply. I am using Chrome. And, miraculously, after I hit refresh a few times, it started to work again with no problems until now. Can't say I did something special. Cheers.

Be sure to clear caches before and after doing FW updates.

Enjoy.

Before doing the FW update, I didn't. But after, when the problem appeared, I did clear the cache, though, it didn't solve the problem. I cannot link the fix with this. But now I know what to do next time ;)

I'm so displeased with this device >:(.
I had dropouts during the copy of large amounts of small files and/or large files to the device with firmware 1.05 so I installed this firmware (1.06b03) to see if the issue has been solved. However the problem still persists.

The copy starts fine at a 30Mb/s but then drops to 0 Kb/s, continues with 7Mb/s and then drops again to 0 Kb/s and so on.....

My configuration: DNS320LW rev. A2; Windows 10 64 bit.

I'm sure that the problem isn't my network or computer because I also have a DNS320 device with fun_plug installed on it and when I start to copy onto this device I haven't got any network dropouts/problems at all; so it must be the DNS320LW.

For now I'm out of options.

Regards,

Spookycust.

How do you have the DNSs and PC connected? To the main host router or a swtich?

I tried both ways: 1.) connect both devices (computer and DNS320LW) at the same switch and connect the switch to the router 2.) connect computer at the switch and the switch to the router and the DNS320LW at the router.
However either both ways caused the dropouts.

Strange since today the dropouts are gone during the copy of larger files. Yesterday I tried to copy a large amount of mp3 files onto the device and always had dropouts but today I tried to copy a large amount of FLAC files and I don't have any dropouts?
Maybe the problem occurs only if one of my other family members is online?

I will try to do some more investigation into this problem....

Thanks for the reply.

Kind regards.

Be sure that the DNS resources are not being accessed during the file copy process.

Please let us know how it goes. We are interested in what you find out.
