Hi there, i just received a few days ago the new router DIR-825 with H/W. B1 F/W 2.00NA,
i opened to verify inside if both antennas are powered and yes they are!
the point is that i`m trying to identify wich one of the
attached antennas is the one that operates on the "g and N" standar, the 2.4 Ghz frequency,
what i`m trying to do is to attach a Hawking antenna of 15 dBi`s that works on the 2.4 Ghz frequency.
i`m afraid of connecting a 2.4Ghz antenna from an output of 5Ghz, does something happen to the antenna?
i wish also use an amplifier with a range of 1Watt to 3 Watts, the actual test of the Dir-825 with its antennas replaced with 2 D-Link 7 dBi`s are not giving me the full coverage of some rooms at 50 meters
of distance, some of the rooms get a week signal and drops the conection easily.
what solution would you suggest me to improve the strength of the signal?
thanks to all for your answers!
by the way i`m writing from "Los Cabos" Baja California Sur, México.
Saludos.
