Known Issues:
1. Chrome on MAC is not supported because of JAVA compatibility issue

2. Since “Super model” was changed to “Universal model”, please remember to manually select
“Universal model” and “Save” for those cameras assigned as “Super model” after upgrading to
V2.4.

I was able to successfully upgrade. However there are some problems remaining

- Record button in Live view is greyed out. Cant turn recording on or off manually
- Recording runs all the time instead of on motion event only. Even though I have both the daily and weekly schedule to run on motion event only.
- Missing option to be able to turn UPNP on or off. (All the firmware for the DCS cameras include that option but its missing from latest update.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

Alright I followed your advice and called in.

We did a remote session with the tech and I was able to show them a few of the issues. They are going to pass the feedback and requests to fix some of the problems up the chain. Hopefully they will make it into future builds. I did find out a few things and a couple of workarounds in the meantime until they fix it.

Problem 1 : Record button in Live view is greyed out. Cant turn recording on or off manually
Workaround 1: (Run IE as Admin and it will work. FireFox will always stay greyed out because the control for Record is written using Active X)

Problem 2: Recording runs all the time instead of on motion event only. Even though I have both the daily and weekly schedule to run on motion event only.
Workaround 2: Once I was able to get the Record button to not be greyed out and I turned the recording off and then it now only works on motion

Problem 3: Missing option to be able to turn UPNP on or off. (All the firmware for the DCS cameras include that option but its missing from latest update.
Workaround 3: No workaround currently but they will take that as advisement. There were several other options in the DCS cameras under Network Controls that were also missing in the DNR that could be added like HTTP port etc. I was told the feedback was really good and it would be taken into consideration so this may come in a future update
