DSR-500N Very slow boot up time
« on: July 16, 2016, 10:16:45 AM »

Is anyone experiencing a 3-4 minute boot up time (orange light on left changing to green). I am in the US and I just bought this unit new from a Canadian Amazon vendor. The firmware was 1.09B58-WW and before installing it I updated it to 2.02. (HW ver #1).

I Have a MSNswitch in place that does a daily boot refresh and I have it set to reboot and then 180 seconds later our VOIP and internet streaming boots but everything times out because of the slow DSR-500N coming to life on the net. The MSNswitch only gives me a 180 second max delay...surely this router can come to life in a minute or two.

PLEASE HELP!!!!  :) :)

  • What region are you located?
  • Has a Factory Reset been performed?
  • Was a Factory Reset performed before and after any firmware updates then set up from scratch?

I'm not familiar with the boot time on the DSR series routers. I presume they should boot to ready in 2 minutes...
