I can't ping my IP public fixed from the Internet (WAN)
« on: August 19, 2016, 11:27:44 AM »

I have configured my DSL router in bridge mode and the carrier assigned IP public fixed me my DFL-260E.
My problem is I can't ping from the WAN to the fixed public IP. My internet carrier tells me I have to set my DFL-260e to allow the ping, how do I do this? This test is based on the ICMP protocol (IP level and no port) which for safety devices most blocking these requests is active.

Thanks for taking the time to respond

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DFL? Look at sticker under the DFL case.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DFLs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
  • What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
  • What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?

Please review the user manual to see if there is any information regarding this...
