1. Upgrade mydlink agent to 2.1.0-b43.
2. Change the HTTPs self-signed certificate to SHA2 algorithms.
3. Support Mydlink UID mechanism.
4. Change the support page hyperlink of Firmware Upgrade web-UI to www.dlink.com.
5. Updated OpenSSL to v1.0.1t.
6. Updated mDNSResponder to 625.41.2.
7. Change the default system time to 2016-01-01
8. Update the years in the copyright statement for IP Camera’s web-UI to 2016.
9. Add authentication to CGI /config/stream_info.cgi.
10. Offer the password validation on console port. (Console’s Password is synchronized with the admin’s password)

After installing this firmware I am experiencing weaker wireless connection.
Camera was connecting perfectly, and now it can connect only if it's near the access point.

Any ideas?

I installed it. Seems to work fine. Don't feel any improvement nor degradation.

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?
What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router?
How many other wireless devices do you have connected to the main host router?

• Any 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz cordless house phones or WiFi APs near by that maybe causing interferences?
• Any other WiFi routers in the area that maybe causing interferences? Link> Use a WiFi Scanner to find out. How many?

I recommend setting a static IP address ON the cameras outside of the main host routers default DHCP IP address pool as a troubleshooting step: 192.168.#.20  DHCP

Thank you for the reply.
I now believe the reason for the bad connection is that the camera fell.
It is not connecting in places it used to connect and another cam (5009) is connecting fine.

I will take it to the lab, hopefully they will be able to fix it.

I have 2 of these

#1 5020L - firmware v1.14 latest.  will disconnect after some 48 hours. then maybe offline by 1-2 days then reconnect again on itself.
#2 5020L - firmware v1.10 old and not plan to upgrade firmware.   always up and stable

both of them are in equal distance with DLINK router DIR-885L and router daily reboot at 6:00am.

WISHLIST for 5020L:  Add Scheduled Reboot option.

Can you down grade #1 camera to v1.10?

maybe need to buy another 24hr timer plug

Can you down grade #1 camera to v1.10?
