Not sure yet. I know I have the boxee set up to look at my DNS as a resource for files. I didn't get much time to play with it as someone wanted to watch TV so I couldn't go much farther.
Give me details on how you have your DLNA set up? Any specific apps your using? How do you have this configured besides the bridges.
I presume the DNLA PC in the same network as main router? or is the hard-drive connected to 890 via USB?

I know that I can set up my xbox and stream DLNA that way which I'll try for sure.

Basically, here's my setup. Yes, the PC is on the same network. PC, Xbox, Blu-ray Player all have reserved IPs in the 895L. The PC must be on to use DLNA streaming as I use that as my streaming box because I do not stream often enough to setup a "stream" box.

PC has Serviio installed (similar to Plex)
PC is hardwired into the DIR-895L
DIR-880L (Or DAP-1522) connects to DIR-895L as a bridge
Xbox & Blu-Ray Player hardwired to DIR-880L

With the DAP-1522 I can see the Serviio share (Shows up at Serviio-PC Name). With the DIR-880L I can't see the share at all. On both I can see the SMB share, but not the DLNA share. I've stopped & started the service for Serviio on my PC & still nothing shows up. But I can literally swap out the DIR-880L with the DAP-1522 & got from not seeing the DLNA to seeing it & being able to stream from it.

I'll try my xbox first and see what I find then go for PC and SW testing. I believe my boxee box is using SMB as I have to set up a mapping to any shared resources. I'll see if my DNS does DLNA or not. I don't use it much and when I do, boxee connects direct LAN cable. 

I'm having D-Link review this as well...

I'm not using that one. It should be at Serviio.org, but that site is down for some reason right now. I'm using the latest version of their app, 1.8.0.

Ok I did go to the .org site and it didn't come up so I saw the next one and it did so I thought it was that SW. I'll check again with the .org site and get there latest SW when it's available.

Ok so I was able to connect my Xbox1 to the 880L in wireless bridge mode. I had shared out my Windows 10 PC and the video folder that Windows 10 and Xbox looks for is the default Video folder under the user account. I put some files and folders in there and launched the media app on Xb1. Saw my PC listed there along with two other devices I have. I was able to navigate down to the folder location. I presume that xb1 has specific file types it plays as the files i have in this location are not recognized by the media player in Xb1. There is one file, WildLife in HD that does play with the media player so I presume this file type is correct. This was streaming from Windows 10 thats LAN connected to the 890L and to the 880L thats wireless bridged to the xb1 which is LAN connected to the back of the 880L.

That site is still down so I can't test with that SW and configuration at the moment.

How big is that SW package? Something small enough to email?

Yeah, not sure how Win10 & Xbox One share so I haven't tried that.

The file is big enough that email won't work but I can PM you a dropbox link. I will do that.

It sounds like your setup was exactly the same as mine. The DLNA share never shows up on the Xbox Media Player app when connected to the 880L. On the DAP-1522 it does. I can literally keep both powered up & swap the cable back & forth & see it appear & disappear. It's very weird.

I will have to check then on the "Unusually Long" part. That is a bit disconcerting IMO.

How long did you wait after you connected tot he 880L? Was the 880L connected at the same time as the 1522?

I waited a good few minutes. Tops around 5. That's a long time to wait when you're trying to watch a movie. This is especially true when the 1522 just pops up. Any plans from DLink to fix that?

I'm at work until this evening so I can't try re-hooking up the 880L but I'll try when I get home, then use a stopwatch to see how long it takes to show up.

Don't know. Possible. if we can get some good details to present to D-Link and respectfully ask them. I presume they would. Shouldn't take a long period of time.
