Accessing Virtual Servers from LAN or static DNS entries
« on: July 30, 2009, 03:23:10 AM »

Hi, I recently bought DIR-825 (Rev B1, FW v2.00EU) router and have already set it up. Everything is up and running, but I have troubles accessing both Virtual Servers and Forwarded ports from LAN (from WAN everything works perfectly).

Let me explain, why I need this functionality:
I want to access the servers both from LAN and WAN by using the same public name. The problem is that DNS server returns WAN IP and WAN port forwarding don't work from LAN for some reason.
One of the possibilities to solve this problem is to have actual LAN IP registered in local DNS, but I don't see this kind of features in this router.

Can my problem be solved without changing the router?
