Rev A Lockup Fixed in 3 EZ Steps!
« on: August 12, 2009, 05:56:06 PM »

Ok, For over a month since I mistakenly upgraded to 1.11 and 1.12, I was still have the router lock up after 2-3 days. No help from dlink and was a real pain in the ass to have my voip and network go down all the time! Version 1.01 worked great before the upgrade. So for all you people still with problems, here is the fix (only those under warranty!):

3. Cross-ship a new router in the mail in about a week. If you need a working router till new on arrives delay step 1 till you get the new B Router. Remember, this is a warranty replacement for your now dead router! You will get a new B router

There you go. Got a new B version and running great with no issues. This firmware issue is total BS and sometimes you have to get things resolved by other avenues. Good Luck!  8)

Hogdoc is obviously a software writer for D-Link.  He left out steps 1 & 2 thus his post locked up ;)

Dlink's server must of lock up since steps 1 & 2 were there when I posted it unless they deleted it. so here is one and two again!

1. Your router has an unfortunate accident like lighting or other demise. Be creative and discover many ways you can make your router die. Power supply death is easy also. Just make sure the router will not boot or light up.

2. Call tech support for a replacement router!

3. as posted

Good luck and hope this actually posts this time!
