I've done a bit of scouring on the forums here and I was able to resolve some of my problems, the most troublesome was that I couldn't see the live image. Turns out I can only see it using IE (not firefox, not chrome, and not opera). Okay, I'll use IE for it. The problem that remains, and it's a biggie, is that I can't get this thing to record on event. The camera is set to "Enable Video Motion." In the DNR interface, in Setup>Camera-Audio and Video>CH01>Motion tab is checked for "Enable Video Motion." A field is selected and Sensitivity is set. When I go to Setup>Schedule-Recording Schedule and select the camera. It's set to "Continuous Recording". It doesn't record continuously; that's okay, I don't want it to. I click to select the radio button for "Record on Event" and click "Always" but nothing changes. In the box at the bottom of the page it shows Start/End/Record as 00:00/23:59/Continuous Recording and there's red stripes across all the lines on the calendar.
If I highlight the 00:00/23:59/Continuous Recording on the Start/End/Record box and click "Delete" it goes away, but when I select "Record on Event" and then click "Always," 00:00/23:59/Continuous Recording reappears. If I click "Save Settings" and exit the page, when I go back, the page is the same as I left it except the radio button selected is "Continuous Recording". The only thing I see that has changed is there is an icon of a running man in the upper right corner of the live image.
The DNR 202 will record manually, but not any other way. I've cleared the browser cache more than a few times during this ordeal; didn't make a difference. Can y'all help me make this work?
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
IE 11 ver.11.125.16299.0
DNR202L:
Agent ver. 2.1.0-b61
F/W ver. 2.05.01
NVR Device Pack: 2.16.01
Camera:
DCS-5222LB
F/W ver. 2.13.01
H/W ver. B
When I started this, I had F/W ver. 2.04 on the DNR. I upgraded the firmware hoping to resolve this issue and a problem with large text overlaid on the camera image. The upgrade did not resolve either problem.
Thank you for your time.
