Slow speed with FTP
« on: February 23, 2018, 01:59:52 AM »

Hi, I have a problem with the FTP upload/download.

When I use FTP max upload/download is 18mbps
But when I use the web file manager speed up to 400mbps.

DNS 320L is connected with 1gbps network.

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DNS? Look at the sticker behind or under the device.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DNSs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?

FTP is not known for blazing speeds due to it's handling of data.

Are you using an FTP application or program?

I would contact the Mfr of the FTP program and see if there is any configurations to optimize the app with the DNS. Try a different FTP program as well. CuteFTP in one.

What are you using in place of a router?  If it is a managed switch has it been setup to optimise FTP throughput?

Hi, what is your filezilla client ?

try to download version 3.9.0.3 (or previous version of filezilla and make a test again).
