DCS-2670L Flick Motion Detection Problem
« on: October 01, 2018, 10:24:44 AM »

Hi guys,

I have a problem with the image on my camera. Every time a flick occurs, the motion detector is activated. I submitted a video demonstrating the problem (https://youtu.be/8h0QMCLr_7E).
Does anybody know how to solve this?

Thanks,

Marcos

Hi guys,

I found a solution through cgi commands. Acessing the url http://<hostname>cgi-bin/shutter.cgi?min=1/10000&max=1/10000. I can set and fix shutter to manual.
I schedule a google script to change shutter set day and night.

Thanks,

Marcos

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?

If you leave the day and night setting left to day, do you still get the same problem?

Is the FW up to date?
This camera isn't marketed here in the USA so not sure about FW.

If the camera is set for day mode only and your still getting false flickers, then there seems to be a problem with the unit. Not sure if Canada or Brazil will support since your cross regional. I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this.

We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

Sorry to say that the new firmware does not work with my camera. I tried to update the firmware manually using the file provided. After 180 seconds, the camera resets and IE shows "Page cannot be displayed". I waited through the night, but was unable to access the camera even after 12 hours. (In videos of changing d'link cameras firmware, it took less than 5 minutes). So I unplugged then re plugged the camera and was able to access the webpage, but the firmware is still stuck at 2.00.02.

Here is what is displayed on the Information page

IP Camera Name: DCS-2670L
