image capture authorization issues

hi,
i'm a software developer trying to use the DCS-5222LB with our "ECS" automation software.
could anyone *please* tell me how to capture a *hi-res* screen shot via HTTP request ?

this URL always works, but only provides a 640x480 image:
   http://192.168.1.118/image/jpeg.cgi

this URL *sometimes* works *once*, but then thereafter fails for no apparent reason ("403 FORBIDDEN");
   http://192.168.1.118/dms?nowprofileid=1
after some period of time, it works again - but only for the initial request.

i *am* using "Digest" authorization (just as i do with other cameras).
