I have auto-update turned on, so I got the 1.05 FW update. I have Point A connected to an unmanaged switch, connecting to a desktop computer, a DVR and a streaming device. It’s been connected wirelessly to Point B (which reports an Excellent connection at covr.local), with B connected via Ethernet to a laptop, which works well so far.
I ran Ethernet from the switch to Point B and restarted B. I think I restarted A as well, I don’t remember. I couldn’t confirm that B was using the Ethernet connection. Using the laptop wired to Pt B, Speedtest gave me 455-480 Mbps down and 220 Mbps up. In the span of 5 or 6 hours, Pt A crashed twice and needed a reset. Pretty quickly after the second crash, I unplugged the Ethernet cable going to Pt B, and I’ve had no connectivity issues since then.
Today (a couple days after the test above) I tried Speedtest again and got 240 Mbps down and 185 Mbps up. If FW 1.04 was stable with a wired connection to Pt B, I might downgrade.
