UPnP AV server and multiple folders
« on: October 20, 2009, 02:37:03 PM »

Is it possible to have the server use 2 separate folders that are both contained in the same folder.

When I share the containing folder the file structure for the media server appears over the network but none of the files.

And when I share from root I have the same problem as the containing folder.

My file structure is as follows

Root
|
Media
|
Video     Music     Pictures     Documents

I want to have video and music on the av server.  I think it may be the pictures folder because there is quite an extensive file structure with thousands of photographs of paintings.  Maybe it is too much for the server to handle.

I would really rather not change my file structure as the setup is specific to the users i allow ftp access and I intend to use the root directory for work related folders.

Thanks

Lopan-

I just tried, and I couldn't serve more than one "top-level" location at a time. (running firmware 1.08b05)

I don't think you can, unless we're both missing something.  ;D

unfortunately you can share either the Root and that will include all folders on the device or a single folder including all sub folders.

This is late, but thank you both for your responses.
