DIR-655 as AP and Bullet M2 in Bridge mode
« on: October 22, 2009, 01:01:35 AM »

Hi,

I'd like to extend the range of my DIR-655 to outside of my house. I plan to purchase an Ubiquity bullet M2 router and use it as a bridge. The Dlink doesn't support WDS, therefore I'll connect the bullet M2 by LAN, wired. I never did a bridge before but will this configuration work and extend the range of my wifi network?

Hi,

Have you looked into a Powerline Networking Extension Kit ?  The newest ones are supposed to run at some 270 Mbps or so....then plug your wireless bridge into the extended powerline kit...

Just a thought...
