Hi people,

After the good experience I have bought also a D-link 855 (EU version). Installation went without problems and after that I have updated the firmware. First via the meny settings and then firmware 1.12EU was installed.
Strange thing was that after the firmware update I had problems with connecting to the 5GHz band thus I thought maybe there even a newer firmware so I went to the ftp directory of your site and saw version 1.20. I upgraded manually to that version but now it seems it's only suited for US and can't downgrade anymore...

Is it so that after upgrading to firmware of NA (US) and not EU the 5 GHz radio module isn't working anymore? When I look at status I see the notification can't initialize for 5GHz band...Is the US version only supporting duo band and not quad-band?

How can I do crash reset for the router so I go back to original firmware? Because I don't succeed with this it always tells me I'm using 1.20NA....

Regards,
Rafael

This is what it says on their support page:

Option 3, "Crash Reset"

This will remove the current firmware. Next time you try to login, a message will show up, asking your for a firmware file/image. These can be downloaded from ftp.dlink.co.uk.

Power OFF the device. Press and hold the 'reset' button; while doing so, power on the device again and keep holding the 'reset' button for another 10 seconds. Then release the button and wait until device restarts.
If it works could you please tell me because I am tempted to try out some different firmwares but don't want to incase it makes my problem o the router restarting every couple of hours worse.
