Hey guys,

I have got a DIR-655 for a couple of months now. Wired everything works perfect (after making some initial changes such as turning off the internal wireless nic of my desktop and turning off WISH).

I recently purchased a Samsung N510 Netbook with the Realtek RTL8192E wireless lan 802.11n PCI-E NIC included. When I connect to the DIR-655 via wireless lan, the connection is always "excellent" or "very good" but when I open up a browser I rarely get to see the internet page I am requesting. I can connect to the router configuration interface also.

The problem seems to be purely for HTTP(S) since I can ping the sites and I can also use SSH to connect to external computers outside my network.

I also brought the computer to my work and connected it to the wireless network there. That worked without any issues whatsoever.

I have updated the firmware of both the DIR-655 (1.21EU) as the Realtek RTL8192E and also forced them both to use the N protocol after which the situation stayed exactly the same unfortunately.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have exactly the same problem with my dgl-4500, I'm running 1.21NA with version A1. Does anyone know if upgrading to 1.21NA beta 3 will resolve this?

Upgraded the firmware to 1.30EU (latest european version) and still no luck. The firmware upgrade reset the router also so I guess that does not help either.

Anybody an idea what to try next?

On version 1.31EU now, still no luck, does anybody have a clue here?

Sounds like the same thing that is plaguing me.  DLink has known about the issue for quite some time but refuses to fix it.  Best solution appears to be get a new device and never again buy anything from DLink, but why should we have to shell out yet more money when they should fix their product?

Several hundred complaints to the BBB might get their attention.
