And for me, uploading old settings does still not work. Get always the following message:

Quote
Restore Failed

The device may be too busy to properly receive it right now. Please try the restore again. It is also possible that you are logged in as a 'user' instead of an 'admin' - only administrators can restore the configuration file. Please check the system log for any errors.

Please press the button below to continue configuring the router.
Changed from 1.11EU to beta version of US firmware.

Geraner,

We have US and Canadian reps here. Public members that have EU product do attend, but loading US / DCAN Beta code over EU products might not yeild favorable results.

Hi.

I also have the european version running firmware 1.11EU.

I do have really bad connection problems with a vista client.
Will this firmware perhaps alleviate some of these problems?
Or should I wait until a new EU version is available?

- edit: removed question about us vs eu version difference (search is your friend :) ).

Try rolling the unit back to factory defaults before loading the the beta code.
If that doesn't work, try loading the 1.05 then re-upgrading. Let us know what happens.

You should either wait for European code or wait for a European (D-Link or Public) forum member to provide you with some good local product information.

I was running 1.11EU and am now running the BETA....and it runs very well

Lycan: the thing with reloading the settings after updating the FW...
has it something to do with the hw revision ? ...or maybe that I am running
a European DIR-655 ?

Firefox still cannot be used for the two middle tabs (in fact it still freezes the page, you can back button from it though).  See forums.

Still getting a mode of mode 11gn when 802.11n is selected.  See forums.

I am getting 100 percent signal were before I was getting 85 percent on Vista.  That is going to a DWA-652.  That is a good thing.

A problem with this version.

I cannot change anything in the virtual server page.  I get in Internet Explorer 7 that there is an error on the page:
There are multiple problems.  I will separate them with curlys below:
{

Char: 16
Error: Unterminated string constant
Code: 0
URL:http://192.168.0.1/Advanced/Virtual_Server.shtml
}
{

I noticed your other post about the UI errors in Firefox. I understand that you are having an issue in firefox, but does this issue carry over to I.E?

So loading this beta firmware voids your warranty. If the router gets bricked while this beta firmware is loaded, there's no warranty, I suppose...  :-\
But I have a little question about this. If no problems appear with the beta, and after some time you load a new non-beta firmware, what happens with the warranty in case you have a problem then?
Thanks for your reply.

You'll be fine. We just can't RMA or warranty support over the 1.11MS.

For what it's worth, the beta firmware is working great for me. I have the Zune and Media Center working great over the network. It's going from 802.11g on my desktop to the router and the router is hard-wired to the XBOX 360. I've got 2 other laptops working just fine as well. One has an 802.11n adapter and reports a 130Mbps connection speed. The other is 80211g. Both 802.11g systems report 54Mbps connections and all computers show excellent signal strength.  This is way better than the super G 624M Dlink the bricked on me.

No.  I do not use Firefox because I have three computers (two Vista and one XP SP2) which have the same problem as I posted in the other thread.  I cannot even get to the page on Firefox so I was not using it.

I was using the latest version of Internet Explorer.  Normally, and before the beta, I could modify the virtual server page. In fact, I had to have been able to.  I use it for my server. At this point, after taking the beta, I can no longer modify the values on that page.

I have a server and I changed the wired network card to a new card gigabit card (a DGE-530T).  I had the old server running through an address.  I brought up the Virtual Server page and modified it to use the new ip address of the server.  I modified the entry and then tried to save it and nothing happened.  So I tried to add a new entry.  Same thing.  That is when I noticed (after leaving the browser and reentering onto the page) that Internet Explorer said there were errors on the page which I posted.

I do not think this has anything to do with Firefox.  I was not using it at that time.
