DIR-655 configuration help needed
« on: December 03, 2009, 07:07:09 AM »

Hi guys,

I would need to configure my DIR-655 in a way that it is able to access both WAN and LAN of my network, behind that of a 2wire router cum modem. This is how it goes

2Wire router cum modem
|                                                             |
connected to 1 PC through ethernet cable,     |
one through wireless                                   Connected to DIR-655 through ethernet cable
                                                              |
connected to one PC and one through wireless to mac

I failed to get internet through the dir-655 and some help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

You need to turn off DHCP on the DIR, that's for sure. And make sure the DIR and the modem are on the same subnet.

I would recommend heading over to smallnetbuilder.com and having a read of their articles and maybe posting there as well. It has some really good stuff on mixed networks.
