any idea if dlink is going to update 3.11NA to a newer version, because I have been trying for hours and I cannot get advanced port filtering to work at all, and can only get website filters to work for specific mac addresses.
I want both filters to work with the always setting and with the other computers setting.
I know the settings I am using are correct because as mentioned above, If I set a specific MAC
address in a policy I can deny access to a website, if I edit the settings and set "other computers"
and leave all settings the same, then access is not denied any longer. I would expect the other
computers setting to apply the webfilter for just what it means, to other computers. So any computer
on my network should be denied to the website, but no.
Access control does not work at all, for any IP and Port range especially with MAC filtering enabled.
This should be a high priority fix as it offers a level of protection to the DSL/Cable modem settings. Since some of these devices consider the lan side a trusted connection, I set these wireless routers to block access to the modems IP on http/tftp/telnet/ssh ports etc and leave DNS open for redirection to work.
