This is absolute BS...it's almost April and no fix for this?  Just bought an iMac i5 and the MAC starts with 7c and the POS software does not like it, so I cannot reserve the IP.

That's the one thing about Apple, you can expect their routers to have an update at least every two months or so.

There is a Beta firmware available that will correct the MAC Address trouble:
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=8957.0

I do not have an ETA as to when or if a final version will be released.

Thank you!  I almost returned this router because of this bug.  (Calling tech support was not helpful at all.)

This beta firmware worked for me.  My use of 40:... MAC address now works.  I use it for parental control of that machine.

Unable to access this link, says either it's missing or not allowed to access.

The Beta firmware is no longer available. There is now an official firmware release that will address the MAC address troubles on http://www.dlink.com/support.

I just tried the 2.03NA firmware and it resolves the MAC address issue.

How about an European version?
I have DIR-825 with Hardware Version: B1, Firmware Version: 2.01EU
I find no updates for this.

Also, funny thing is that I just bought D-Link's network drive base DNS-323 and even that has a MAC address beginning with "1C:..." and I cannot reserve an IP for it. How convenient.

I am waiting for a fix to this problem also. Can't assign static IP for my Asus Eee Box. Is it not possible to make a new release of firmware with only this one problem fixed?

What FW version is currently loaded?
How are you connecting the device? Wired or wireless?
Can other devices get an IP address reservation using the router?
